• ¿Desde que edad puedo mandar a mis hijos a los cursos de Ingles?
  • Nuestra sugestión es que chicos tan jóvenes como 8 años pueden realizar una estancia lingüística durante las vacaciones. La estancia esta llena de actividades variadas y de clases eficientes. Nuestros alumnos lo mas jóvenes aprenden a través juegos lo que, a modo general, ayuda la comprehensión necesitada para el hablar Inglés. Como los alumnos vienen de todo los horizontes del mundo, se hacen amigos internacionales bajo la supervisión de adultos profesionales certificados.
• ¿Cual es lo mejor entre estar en inmersión en una familia o hacer una estancia en una residencia?
  • Todo depende del carácter del alumno. No existe tal cosa como una mejor vacaciones o una mejor estancia, sino una estancia que se puede adaptar a las necesidades de cada uno. Algunos chicos son más tímidos que otros y capaz que no se sentirán cómodos viviendo en el seno de una familia , y a veces, prefieran estar en residencias con otros alumnos. Otros, más seguros, pueden sentirse aun mas seguros y cómodos viviendo en una familia. Pero funciona al revés también y a veces, chicos tímidos pueden sentirse más cómodos al vivir en el corazón de una familia que en residencias con otros alumnos. Cuidamos las necesidades de cada alumno. Cada opción ofrece sus propios aventajes: las actividades veladas del colegio, los tiempos libres llenos de una variedad de proposición. Vivir en el seno de una familia permite aprovechar de cada momento para practicar el Inglés. Permite de vivir también una experiencia humana y cultural rica. En todo caso, para cada alumno, hablamos con él y sopesamos los ventajas y las desventajas. Cuanto más el alumno esta investido en su viaje lingüístico, más beneficioso está la estancia.
• ¿Como puede quedar en contacto con mi hijo? ¿Se puede hablar con su hijo durante el tiempo de la estancia?
  • Por supuesto! Antes que se va su hijo, le dejamos un expediente que contiene todos los datos esenciales sobre la escuela y/o el equipo de supervision local asi que los datos personales de la familia anfitriona.
• ¿Puede mi hijo utilizar su mobil?
  • Si, salvo por los E.E.U.U. y Canada donde los telefonos deben ser tribanda. Puede hablar con su operador movil para obtener un servicio internacional. Mandar mensajes de texto puede ser practico pero recordase que hacerlo desde el extranjero es expansivo.
• How to contact KIWI outside of opening hours?
  • Outside of our opening hours (from Monday to Friday in Paris and outside of it) we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. An emergency telephone number is left on our answering machine. We will always be available to our clients and aim to respond quickly. Due to most cases involving minors, we are always prepared for any situation.
• Mi hijo quiere viajar con un amigo? Es posible? Sera la estancia eficiente ?
  • Cada año tenemos muchos alumnos quienes quieren hacer una estancia con un amigo. Por experiencia, le podemos tranquilizar y afirmar que la eficiencia de la estancia alcanzara nuestros estándares. Viajar con n amigo, nunca ha sido un problematico en cuanto a los logramientos. Al contrario, muchas veces, la estancia resulta tanto mas eficaz los cursos que se crea una emulación. Existe un programa especial para dos amigos que quieren hacer una estancia juntos: el Two to One. El profesor acoge los dos alumnos a la llegada. En otro tipo de estancia, dos amigos pueden ser albergados por una sola familia, pero, a modo general, una familia suele ser la anfitriona de un hispanohablante solo.
• e hear many things about host families, are they true?
  • Our families are specifically selected by our professional, experienced team. The team gets to know each family personally. We aim to improve the quality our holidays each year. Some students enjoy staying with the host family that they stay with year after year.
• Are the residences separated by sex?
  • Yes of course! All of our holidays are mixed but the accommodation are separated by sex. The male and female dorms are in separate buildings or different floors depending on the school. In all of our residences the staff supervise the students and to make sure that the daily events run smoothly.
• Do you have to be sporty to participate in a summer camp?
  • No, you just have to have the will. Only specific sports and language holidays are truly sporty (Our elite holiday are more sports intensive). For the USA summer Camps being in good shape is recommended and an enthusiasm for camping in necessary. For the others will and motivation is sufficient.
• How can I keep up to date with my child’s progress?
  • It is impossible to quantify the progress made by one student. Each student progresses at their own speed. We have to be realistic and acknowledge that a child cannot become bilingual in a couple of weeks. However , the more we progress the more confidence we gain and thus familiarize ourselves with the language. In a class of 15 -18 a child can receive more attention from the teacher. The classes will consolidate and improve their understanding of the language. With innovative and tried and tested method the child’s elocution and comprehension. All of our schools in England are accredited by the British Council. These immersion holidays allow space for spontaneous progression, there aren’t classes but practical exercises of every day experiences with native speakers. We suggest a minimum of two weeks to be truly effective. The first couple of days are used to ease the child into the program. Whilst the student is living with the teacher (one to One) he can take advantage of particular classes (or Two for Two to one) These courses are adapted to each level of English. This is one of our Most effective programs. For students who live with a family we think that 2 weeks should be the minimum stay. For the younger student (primary school to 16) we suggest that one week is enough, so that the experience remains positive and doesn’t drag on. For the intensive Sports programs , the distance from the home, the rhythm of learning the language, the age of participants, the length of the holiday depends on the student.
